  • Question about O-1A visa (soccer goalkeeper – playing vs coaching)

If a soccer goalkeeper obtains an O-1A visa based primarily on his achievements as a player, is he allowed to also coach (e.g., goalkeeper training) while in the U.S.?

If not, would it be possible to apply under a more hybrid role, such as “soccer goalkeeper specialist,” in order to both play and coach legally? In this case, the application would still be mainly based on achievements as a player, but would also include some coaching achievements (though less significant).
