How do I meet P-1 requirements for a sepaktakraw coaching job?
-
Get a letter from the International Sepaktakraw Federation describing the sport’s reach and your achievements.
-
If no U.S. union exists, submit expert letters from athletes, sport scientists, or commentators.
-
Include your coaching contracts, schedules, press, and academic work.

How do I meet P-1 requirements for a sepaktakraw coaching job?
I’ve been offered a U.S. coaching job in sepaktakraw, but the sport isn’t listed in USCIS examples. How do I handle the consultation letter and meet P-1 rules?

Can I file a P-1 for Abu Dhabi World Pro, and what documents do I need?
Yes, you can file before the event if you have:
-
Invitation letters naming you as a seeded competitor.
-
Bracket sheets or press releases listing top-ranked athletes.
-
A future-dated itinerary (weigh-ins, seminars, media).
-
Two regulatory items (e.g., national medals plus an expert letter).
Sponsorship contracts and a coach’s affidavit.

I’m a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black-belt invited to the Abu Dhabi World Pro. Can I file a P-1 now, and what paperwork do I need?

Got a P-1 RFE on my itinerary—how do I fix it, or should I switch to O-1?
For P-1:
-
Provide locked-in dates, opponents, broadcast info, compensation details, and federation letters.
For O-1:
-
Highlight international caps, media coverage, and salary.
-
Build an itinerary with training, exhibitions, and media work.
Decide whether to strengthen the P-1 or pivot to the more flexible O-1

Got a P-1 RFE on my itinerary—how do I fix it, or should I switch to O-1?
Last season I signed three U.S. soccer friendlies not tied to MLS. USCIS hit me with an RFE on my itinerary. How do I fix this—and is there a better visa option?

How do we get P-1/P-1S consultation letters without a union?
USCIS still requires a peer consultation, but you can:
-
Request letters from Guild of Music Supervisors or Dance/USA confirming your awards and acclaim.
-
For P-1S, get a letter explaining how lighting/projection design is integral.
-
If unions say they have no jurisdiction, document that, as USCIS may waive the requirement.
